reality bites
POSTED AT 02:30 AM

classes started three days ago. sheesh. they've given us three weeks worth of homework already. i've got two reports to do, a quiz to study for, five chapters to read, a worksheet to answer and a movie review to write. ack! can you say 'hassle'?!

but its good to be back. nice to see all my friends again. saw 'him' only once, and the butterflies weren't all that crazy anymore. good. it means im getting over it.

i signed up to fanfiction.net and uploaded the three fics i wrote. got some pretty positive feedback on paper crane and a friend's vow, but i got a flamer for unspoken. cool. i'm rewriting it now, actually.

on our first day back, we were dismissed way early so what are we normal college kids supposed to do? of course we went to the mall. got to see ju-on american version. gave me the willies, i'm telling you. but it didn't give me the same paranoia that ju-on japanese ver. did.

hung out in gian's crib yesterday. nice place. its got a neat hangout spot on the top floor. we're kind of planning to host a christmas party there actually. we watched the required movies for chem. Outbreak was good, but it kind of spooked me. i saw some of the dangers in my future profession and..well..i'm kind of thinking about it actually. The Bone Collector bored me shitless. What a waste of two perfectly good hours.

i might not be able to reupdate during the week coz of my friggin sched. i'll probably put up a new entry next saturday.

later!

and so the hell week ends
POSTED AT 10:38 AM

And so the stressful week ends………

Jeez! Every, friggin day for the past week, I ended up going home late. I’ve been stuck inside the library each and every one of those days, doing research. Then the earliest time I go to bed is twelve midnight. To me, that is effing late. I’m usually in bed by 11pm on a school night. I love my sleep, you see. My eyes are actually burning from all the strain of reading books and site info.

And my pockets are sucked dry of what little money it once had. I had to spend so much on my books and on the reports. You know, for the acetates, printouts and stuff. And then of course, I had to eat too.

Good thing we did well on our reports. The microscope report was harder than I expected, but we knew where to start the research and what to do. I couldn’t say the same thing for organic chem. I didn’t have a clue what to do with those freaky study questions. Luckily, tinfa had an angel of a friend from 1-9 (incidentally, girlie’s section) named meeko. He helped us a lot on the report, Ma’am Aquino even said that we were very good, for the first reporters. She said we got most of the topic down, and all she needed to do was straighten a few things out. Whew…*wipes brow*. Thank goodness. All those late nights and hard work paid off.

I think I did okay on the chemistry quiz too. I hope I’m right, because I failed the zoology practical. Geez…

Next week is nursing week. No classes on Monday coz it’s the end of Ramadan. I don’t get why we shouldn’t have classes. I mean, we’re not even Muslims for cripes sak. But I’m not complaining. I day-off sounds good to me. We’ll be having loads of activities, and we’ll have to watch Paolo on the Mr. Nursing Personality thing. He’s becoming very popular now. Haha, I’m friends with a celebrity/politician-in-the-making.

Oh, and we named our classroom tropa too. Its composed of me, Marj, Gian, Kaye, Arvin and Paolo. We called the group Sputnik. Whahaha…it’s a long story, but Marj made it up. So funny.

Am planning on going to Gian’s on Monday again. WE have another movie to watch for chem. The Day After Tomorrow. I’ll have to remember to bring ectra cash this time.

And I finished re-editing Unspoken. It's ready to be uploaded any day now. I'm just waiting for more reviews..hehehe...

Later!

Nursing Week adventures
POSTED AT 05:21 AM

It’s been a good week. Kind of tiring, since I come home late every day, but it had been worth it. Lots of good things happened in my favor, as my barkada know all too well.

Nursing week (actually, it should be nursing DAYS), started last Wednesday. Here’s a recap of the events:

WEDNESDAY:
-waited for the Nursing Shirt. Waited in vain. Didn’t get it until after lunch. Wasn’t able to use it.

-Mass held at the Santissimo Rosario. Been so long since I attended mass in that Chapel. Damn I miss highschool. The priest wasn’t very good in keeping the audience’s attention, but the choir was good.

-Song/Dance/Bandfest. Some girl named Rona won 1st place in the solo category. Am not in favor. Thought the one who sang ‘Ikaw’ was waaaay better. Effervescence, a band comprised of girlie’s classmates, won 2nd place in the acoustic category. Bandurat, 1-4’s band, had been mighty pissed. They didn’t know about the contest and they weren’t able to join. Hmm..They might’ve had a chance if they did. Bandurat’s good, seriously speaking. Didn’t watch the BandFest anymore. It was getting late when the DanceFest finished. I had to get home soon. Made me miss the MegaDanzfest back in HS.

THURSDAY:
-went to school waaaay early. The Sputniks said they’d be in school at around 6.30. So I was there around 6.30. Big surprise. I was alone. Late sila, as usual. Albert (a new friend and YM buddy) showed up and walked with me to the Nursing Audi. Thank goodness. I must’ve looked like an idiot, walking alone in the first floor for Kami knows how long waiting for my tardy friends to show up.

-Boring Seminar. Supposedly to be held in the Nursing Audi but was moved to the CME audi. Speakers were late. About Thomasian values and crap. Hal-ler. Like I haven’t been hearing those since high school. Geez. Nearly fell asleep in the CME Audi.

-Basketball Game. Freshmen won. Didn’t stay to watch it though. Had to go home and change into casual clothes.

-Amazing Race and Fear Factor Challenge. Gian and Arvin joined, but won zippo. Haha. Most of the contestants (and winners for that matter) were freshmen. 1st place (MJ and jomar, if I’m not mistaken) and 4th (Miko and Albert) place were from 1-9. 3rd placers (Maggie and Pia) were from 1-4.

-Mr. and Ms. Nursing Personality. Paolo actually WON. Can you believe it?! I couldn’t, at first. He wasn’t getting enough support from the senior-dominated audience. Didn’t win any special awards either. Well…he IS intelligent, thoug not very obvious. Harhar. So proud of that guy. Not to mention Frederick and I were sitting behind a way cute dude.

FRIDAY:
-Bagua. A play. Guess many were expecting a drama, or a horror (like Feng Shui). Damn. The play was a no-brainer comedy. Hilarious. Good cast. Claps for the cast, crew and playwright.

-MTV seminar thing. Didn’t go to see it. Went to Mang Tootz for lunch. Bumped into Richard, who coincidentally was in the same carinderia. Yes. THAT Richard. Their table was next to ours. Girlie said he kept looking over at us. I had my back turned towards him, so I didn’t notice. Tch. Whatever dude. I might’ve been gaga over him once but that’s ancient history. Think he remembers or regrets what we had? Or rather….what might’ve been? I don’t think so.

-Variety Show. Frederick was in it. He’s class VP and he had to be in it. Didn’t see it though. Went to SM Manila with Girlie and Buen to watch Santa Santita. Good cast, except for the lead.

And that about wraps it up for the Nursing Week. I can just imagine the workload our angelic professors would give us when we go back to our normal schedule.

The construction of the new layout isn’t going too well. I’m a clueless web page maker.

Oh well.. Will update later.

Ja!

All I Want For Christmas Is
POSTED AT 01:33 PM

Actually…I have a whole bunch of stuff that I want for Christmas. Hardeharhar… here’s my wishlist. Santa, I hope you’re reading this! I’ve been a very good girl this year! Lolz…Read and enjoy..mwahahaha….

1) Books – novels and poetry and manga and stuff. No schoolbooks please!

2) A stack of internet cards – wahoo! Nuthin beats netsurfing

3) A stack of Ragnarok cards – Rok on! My acolyte needs a raise!

4) A stack of Globe prepaid cards – hey! I’ve got a lot of friends and loved ones to greet merry christmas!

5) Burnt CDs – with all my favorite songs. My connection moves slower than an effing snail with its shell as huge as my cheeks and its very tedious to download songs.

6) Anime CDs – Getbackers! Ultra Maniac! Chobits! Slam Dunk! Card Captor! Wheeee! Anything, as long as its anime!

7) Anime soundtracks – am currently in the J-pop/J-rock crazy phase

8) Accessories – esp. EARRINGS! My earring fetish is as strong as
ever, even though I seldom wear them to school. Oh, cutesy bracelets and necklaces (y’know, the cheap bead-and-nylon ones) would do great. ;p

9) Money – of course. Couldn’t go wrong with greens. Hmm…Blues would do just fine too. :D I need it for clothes, and for the gifts I’m giving out….wheee…

10) Ryan Philippe – ‘nuff said. Or if he can’t be torn away from Reese’s arm, *he* would do just fine. Lolz.

Oooohkaaay…I’m limiting this to my top ten. If I put in anymore, Santa would throw the wishlist straight into the fireplace. ^_^’ And maybe if you haven’t noticed…yes I’m a kid at heart. Anime and computer games…ahhh…heaven….

And for my non-material wishes…

1) stronger friendships with TGS, Benchwarmers and Sputnik (luv u guys!)

2) my parents’ continued safety

3) safe grades for this semester

4) my romeo

:D ok, ok. So I’m a hopeless romantic. Big deal. Sue me.

Love and Peace..! *grins a la Vash Stampede*

Livre Concert
POSTED AT 04:29 PM

Just got home from the Livre Concert in UST. It’s been…okay, I suppose. For a free concert, it was OK, but too many…err…how could I say this politely..JOLOGS people showed up. I don’t know if it’s just me or whatever.

Anyways…nice band lineups. Bamboo, Sugarfree, Cambio, Southborder and stuff. The songs were good, but they weren’t very popular so few people sang along. The crowd was effing dull. It felt like only Agnes and I were moving at all, as we danced in place. (Agnes is a big fan of acoustic artists, methinks.)

Had a good time with the ‘kada though. Girlie and Gian went over to my place to get ready. Buen showed up unexpectedly and borrowed my brother’s shirt (he didn’t bring a change of clothes). Met up with Nicole at the HS Benches a little later. Saicho and nikore were both wearing PINK, for cripessake. Snapped a photo of Girlie to capture the essence of pinkness before she comes to her senses. I kept teasing her about all these. You know, with the going to the concert at night, and wearing pheenk. Downside is her mother wanted her to go home early. Reasonable since she did live in Laguna, but such a downer. Just when we were having fun too. I tokd her she could sleepover at my house but she declined. Oh well. I guess I know how it feels. Typical Moms.

I’ve been trying to reach her ‘coz she suddenly disappeared. I told her hatid ko siya with Buen, but when I turned around she was gone. I tried to call her but her phone couldn’t be reached. Tried texting Albert too (coz saich said they might go home together) but he didn’t reply.

Buen said she was very upset when she left. I hope she’s OK.

We planned on going for drinks when the concert dulled. Inuman with the ‘kada, but I haven’t had dinner yet. Didn’t want to risk it. Besides, I couldn’t go home with my consciousness is alcohol-laden.

Will update later. My eyelids are drooping.

Just Another Rainy Day
POSTED AT 09:13 AM

Ah rain........I just love it.......*sighs*

Don't you think the sound and feel of a rainy day is just so soothing? Whenever its raining I feel like curling up in my bed and hibernate until the sun rises again.

Too bad I wasn't able to relax at all today. Buen, Gian, Kaye and Renz came over to pick up the stuff they left here last Friday.

I was supposed to go to a gown fitting today but the seamstress cancelled at the last minute. Coz of the rain I guess. Alam niyo naman...here in Manila its hard to get anywhere when its raining.

So the four of them stayed for awhile. We had KFC deliver our lunch and then stayed upstairs, just soundtripping and playing cards. I was online while they played BlackJack, MonkeyMonkey and Tong-Its. Losers get their faces smudged with lipstick.

What a sight they were! I couldn't help bursting into laughter every time I catch a glimpse of their faces. They look like weird kabuki actors. Or Ati-atihan mascots. Or tribal idols. Whatever. Basta they looked hilarious.

Oh well...I'm bored.

I think I'll go write down my Christmas shopping list. Have to get gifts for the 'kada.

Peace.

x Tarot x

Do you want to know what your tarot card is?

Positive: The Star represents hopes and dreams and the optimism associated with realizing ones hearts desires. The Star is the initial spark of hope that arises from the dust when everything around us seems desolate and bleak. The Star is a renewal of faith in life and our Creator. It represents regeneration and renewal of all the good that life has to offer. The Star also represents the limitless possibilities that life has to offer, from our childish wishes to the high ideals we hold as adults. The Star is the guiding light we have been wishing on all of our lives in hopes of a better tomorrow. While similar to the motivation behind The Fool card, The Star differs in that we have hope beyond whatever our fears may bring. It represents a moment of peace, a reflection of light, or the wonderment of a child.

Negative: Reversed this card represents the loss of all hope, a pessimistic attitude, or succumbing to depression. It can also depict an overly rational point of view or one without any ideals. A minimalist or someone without motivation.
