Ooh Heaven Is a Place on Earth POSTED AT 03:27 PM People’s usual perception of heaven include clouds and angels and stars. I used to think about all that too. Seeing the white light at the end of the tunnel, seeing my own body as it gets buried, watching over my loved ones until the time for me to go to “heaven” and earn my angel wings comes. As I grew up, this notion began to change. And after reading The Five People You Meet in Heaven, I have to say I agree with Mitch Albom. Heaven is home. Even Sister Vinoya mentioned this to us, but the instances in the novel made it all clearer. The Blue Man had found his heaven in the carnival. The Captain lived in his world without war, Ruby had her diner, Marguerite had her house of weddings and Tala had her nipa hut. Of course, Eddie had his Ferris Wheel. (You’d have to read the novel to understand, but I’m pretty sure you won’t regret reading it. It was a beautiful novel.) I suppose my heaven would be this house where I grew up, with the entire family. Eddie met five people, some he didn’t really know, others he knew well-enough. But they all influenced him in a way and made his life the way it was. In the end, everything became clear to him. I suppose that’s why people say you won’t ever be really satisfied in this earth, because this earth lacked the explanations and the reasons that we need. Just goes to show, that one really doesn’t have to fear death, for death isn’t really the end. It’s a new beginning. I just wonder…which five persons I’d meet? Later. |

Time Flies POSTED AT 02:32 PM It's been a long time since I updated on all that's been happening in my life lately. I suppose that's because...I've been a total geek these past month, and I have no life. I'm actually reading my course books. They're all highlighted now. Mela asked the other day, "bakit nakakatamad pag mainit?". I answered "baka kasi dahil mas mainit, mas maraming energy ang ginagamit ng katawan natin para ma-counteract yung heat". I'm talking in scientific terms, and it's scary. I hardly have any time to even pass by the benches. Natatakot ako, baka nagtatampo na yung Benchers, kaya lang ang hirap pagsabayin ng pag-aaral at ng social life. On the upside, attended my first party of the year last Friday. Macky's place of course. I knew half the crowd, I think and all the rest are strangers. I mean, I see them all the time at school and all, but I never really talked to them. It's ok, still had fun with the I-4 peeps. And oh, he was there. Swabe. Hotness in all its glory. Mark Friday as FoodTrip Day (Wok Day!), a sort-of reward for a week of hardwork. And also, official tambay day for me and the benchers. Did my 1st vital signs on an actual patient. Yey? (according to my older friends, sobrang magsasawa ka sa vital signs.) Ang bilis ng pera. I don't want GMA to resign. Leave her be, and let her finish her term. All these rallying and scandals...it's butchering our country. I have my HP HBP copy, but I won't be able to read it til next week. Hassle, Monthly Exams na. Damn book drained my savings. Iniissue ako nila Buen. Mga taksil. Wala nga yun eh. Must not forget to mention....I have my nameplate! Oh the shiny goodness..and the radiance of power. Sarap panoorin ng freshies, knowing that I already survived what they are going through. Siraulo tong sila Macky eh. Nananakot. I'm expanding my 18th birthday guestlist. Must include all my new II-4 friends. And also, I asked Gie, Chief and Mela to perform a song or two on my debut. Guess that's it. I'm off to bed now. Nytie. |
Monthly Exams POSTED AT 04:08 AM ...and yet I'm online. Pasaway and procrastination in they're laziest, most stubborn form. I really shouldn't be writing this right now. My exams tomorrow are two of the longest (not to mention most boring) subjects I have (Ana-Physio and CHN), and I really should start reading my notes. ... Pweh. Whatever. I managed to answer my FNP and English exams with ease this morning, and I didn't study all that much. Stock knowledge. Hahaha. yabang. Yari ako pag bumagsak. Had lunch in the Green Dorm. Jam's folks sent her sinfully scrumptious Leyte food, and she was generous enough to share it with us. Ayos, wala akong pera ngayon eh. ^o^. Kind of torn between going to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory this Friday with Mela, Trish and Jam or hanging out with my beloved Benchers. Bahala na. On one hand, going with my class friends would help me create greater bonds with 'em. On the other hand, I miss the Benchers. F*ck. Help me decide? OK, OK I'm babbling. I'll update again...maybe this weekend...after I finish HBP. Can't wait! Wish me luck. |

A love magnet? Maybe. To all the wrong people. How I wish this 'magnetic' qualities would attract, oh i don't know, someone I actually like(or could like) for a change. But, all the rest seems pretty accurate...I think.

Just A Few Mismatched Thoughts POSTED AT 02:36 PM Finished HBP in record time, and it was an experience. Damn JK Rowling and her genius mind. I wouldn't put any spoilers in here, just in case, but it was so sad that I actually cried. I can't wait for the last book. Monthly exams are also over. I think I did all right, but I can't say for sure. At least not until the results come out. Whatever. I did all that I can, and I hope that's enough. Boy, those two study sessions in the Med Library are quite interesting. I'm sure Mela and Trish are going to agree with me on that one. Maybe we should hang there more often. ^o^ Ran-Ai's been popping in and out of the scene, but the romantic feelings I've been harboring for him haven't resurfaced as of yet, thank heavens. I've decided to disguise my new prospect's real name under the name Rong-Yi. There's this weird circumstance when I thought he was waving at me. He was on the other side of the building when we caught each other's eye...and he actually waved. There was no one beside me that time, so he might have been waving at someone one floor below. But when I looked back at him, he waved again. What the eff was that? I mean, I've only talked to the guy a couple of times, and I doubt he even remembers my name, so why on earth would he be waving at me? I don't want read too much into it, but still, I can't help hoping... If you feel that someone's trying to play games with a loved one or close friend, don't question your intuition. You're a student of the human condition, and a good one, at that. Mention your apprehensions. You know you're right. A Friendster horoscope. That's funny, Mela and I were talking about a very similar situation a few days ago. She's not really playing games with him..just that we thought she wasn't right for him. Hmm... Yeah. I know I'm right. When it comes to character judgments, I usually am. I just hope I'm this accurate when I take my exams. Saw The Island last Friday, right after the exams. Good movie, though it left quite a few questions unanswered. Cool effects though. And hey, it's Ewan McGregor. In Saich's opinion, one could expect nothing less. ^-^ 'Til later! |
Public Apology POSTED AT 01:11 PM I’ve done something wrong, and I know it. I made a big mistake and when I realized how grave this mistake was becoming....I think it’s already too late. I never meant for it to become this serious, I didn’t mean to piss anyone off. To the person/s concerned, I’m really, really sorry. This may seem like an empty promise to you (since I’ve been breaking quite a few of those lately), but if you’ll give me a chance I’ll make it up to you.
